We are partnering with a large, well-known client to find an Associate SEO Manager to play a vital role in supporting their SEO team in improving organic search performance across multiple sites for local, national, and e-commerce markets. You will help develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies and work closely with different teams to ensure best practices and smooth implementation.

In this contract role, you’ll focus heavily on content optimization for key category pages and seasonal priorities. You’ll collaborate daily with merchandising, e-commerce, UX, writers, and the SEO agency to make sure recommendations are aligned, approved, and implemented on time. You’ll also handle light technical SEO—raising Jira tickets, partnering with technical teams, and understanding how broader website updates impact organic performance.

If you value autonomy, ownership, and being the SEO subject matter expert who brings structure and clarity, you’ll thrive here. You’ll have the freedom to share your perspective, explore new optimization tactics, and influence both strategy and execution, all while receiving high-level support from an experienced, calm, and collaborative leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in Strategy Development: Assist the SEO Manager in developing detailed SEO strategies to enhance organic search performance. Help analyze competitors’ strategies to identify potential gaps or opportunities.
  • Technical Audits & Performance Analysis: Conduct regular technical audits and performance reviews to uncover optimization opportunities. Collaborate closely with IT, Digital Product, and Development teams to ensure compliance with best practices in HTML, backend systems, server settings, redirects, and more.
  • Content Collaboration: Work with Content, UX, and Design teams to support the development of engaging and optimized content that aligns with SEO strategies.
  • Cross-functional Partnerships: Partner with teams such as eCommerce, Analytics, UX, Design, Content, and IT to ensure cohesive execution of SEO plans.
  • Technical Insights: Share insights into best practices for site speed, crawl stats, mobile optimization, structured data, and other technical aspects of SEO.
  • Performance Tracking: Use tools like GA4 (Google Analytics 4), Google Search Console (GSC), and Looker to monitor and report on performance metrics. Communicate findings to the SEO Manager and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of enterprise or e-commerce SEO experience
  • A solid understanding of SEO principles and techniques
  • Experience with tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, and Looker
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, backend systems, and server settings is a plus
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
