**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional to elevate our product development process. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in bridging design vision with manufacturing reality, ensuring every garment meets our rigorous quality standards. You will be a guardian of our brand’s aesthetic and fit intent, working cross-functionally to bring innovative designs to life with precision and expertise. Your impact will be felt across our entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to final production, as you contribute to delivering best-in-class products that consistently exceed customer expectations.

**What You’ll Do:**

* Collaborate extensively with Design, Merchant, Raw Material, Product Development, Production & Sourcing, Quality Assurance teams, and external vendors/suppliers.
* Serve as a functional expert, upholding brand standards for product quality, fit, and construction across various product categories.
* Evaluate prototype samples for fit and construction, translating design aesthetics into clear, actionable technical directions.
* Lead comprehensive fit sessions, providing detailed, written instructions, precise measurements, and digital imagery to vendors for corrections.
* Partner with design teams to ensure design intent is accurately captured and seamlessly transitioned to regional partners for fit approval.
* Manage workflow and meticulously track progress to ensure all seasonal calendar deadlines are met.
* Proactively identify potential production, quality, or costing challenges and propose effective solutions.
* Align with cross-functional partners to establish and maintain product performance standards that safeguard brand integrity.
* Leverage your deep knowledge of patternmaking, construction, costing, manufacturing, and materials throughout the product development cycle.
* Engage in competitive analysis to identify industry best practices and opportunities for innovation.
* Present technical data and initiatives to diverse audiences, adapting your communication style for maximum impact.
* Analyze customer feedback and provide data-driven recommendations to continuously improve product fit and comfort.
* Actively participate in and support new initiatives and special projects, contributing to continuous improvement.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* A degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, or equivalent work experience demonstrating a strong foundation in garment fit and construction.
* 6-8 years of industry experience in apparel product development.
* Proven knowledge of patternmaking, garment construction, fit, and grading for apparel.
* Understanding of factory operations, manufacturing techniques, and machinery.
* Experience utilizing product development technical specification programs (e.g., PDM, PLM).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
* Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage proto samples, fit comments, and calendar updates efficiently.
* Strong note-taking skills, capable of capturing clear, concise, and accurate information.
* Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
* Ability to identify issues and develop creative solutions outside of established parameters.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Knowledge of fully fashioned sweaters.
* Experience with 3D software for product development (e.g., Clo3D, Browzwear).
* Specialized technical design skills in complex or specialized garment categories.
