We are looking for a seasoned Procurement professional to lead in determining and managing sourcing strategies within defined categories. This role is crucial for identifying and engaging with senior stakeholders, overseeing the entire sourcing process, and providing expert procurement advice to various business areas. You will be instrumental in shaping how the company acquires the resources it needs to innovate and succeed.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Engage proactively with stakeholders to thoroughly understand business requirements and to define and implement robust category strategies, plans, and processes for sourcing goods and services.
* Maintain a detailed and comprehensive understanding of business drivers and how they impact the overall business strategy.
* Act as a subject matter expert on procurement policies, processes, and best practices, guiding internal teams.
* Manage key sourcing activities for business projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and appropriate risk management.
* Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key existing strategic suppliers while actively identifying and evaluating potential new partners.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with the business’s sourcing process, serving as an internal consultant for each stage.
* Develop comprehensive category or sub-category strategies, plans, and sourcing pipelines to support ongoing and future needs.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
* A deep understanding of procurement and sourcing techniques, as well as supply chain management principles.
