We’re looking for a Graphic Designer for a 6-month hybrid engagement in Playa Vista, CA. We’re seeking a visionary and skilled Graphic Designer to significantly impact the visual identity and communication of cutting-edge products and campaigns. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in crafting compelling visuals that captivate audiences, drive engagement, and reinforce the brand’s iconic presence across diverse platforms, directly influencing how consumers experience our offerings.
As a key contributor, you will leverage your advanced design expertise to create original graphic solutions that resonate with the brand’s distinctive ethos. You will be at the heart of ideation and concept development, translating ideas into tangible visual assets that span print, digital, and physical spaces. This role offers the exciting opportunity to lead projects from initial concept through to final production, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure design integrity and timely delivery. Your work will directly shape how our products are presented and perceived, playing a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of quality and visual appeal.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of original graphic designs for a wide range of materials, including print, packaging, 3-D retail displays, event signage, logo systems, imagery, and video.
- Drive ideation and concept development, contributing to the overall branding strategy.
- Manage individual and team-based projects from initial briefing to final distribution, overseeing timelines, work-back schedules, and budget adherence.
- Coordinate with internal functional teams and external suppliers, reviewing specifications and recommending production alternatives to ensure optimal quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee budget management for projects, including estimating development costs, negotiating pricing, reviewing billing, and reconciling budgets.
- Act as a liaison between internal design, marketing, and product teams, as well as outside agencies, communicating project details, design requirements, and scheduling needs.
- Develop and manage seasonal graphic schematics and ensure accurate hand-off across various product categories, managing multiple overlapping seasons.
- Rapidly explore and implement graphic directions for collections, providing prompt ideations and options for design partners.
- Manage and organize digital files and assets across various systems, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure all graphic assets and project documentation are up-to-date and prepared for seamless hand-off.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant professional graphic design experience.
- Alternatively, the following may be accepted:* PhD or Law + 3 years; Master’s + 4 years; Associate’s degree + 6 years; High School diploma + 7 years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proven experience in project management, including timeline management, budget oversight, and supplier coordination.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a liaison between diverse stakeholders.
- Agile and flexible mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Nice-to-Have:
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite.
- Experience with 3D Design software, such as Adobe Dimension.
