This is a hybrid role- 3 days on-site in Santa Clara County and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities
Concept & Photo Art Direction
Creative Strategy: Generate high-fidelity sketches, storyboards, and mood boards to set the visual north star for retail campaigns.
Photoshoot Leadership: Lead art direction for photoshoots, including new store openings and global creative assets.
This includes the full lifecycle:
Pre-Production: Defining shot lists and wardrobe, casting talent, and selecting photographers whose style aligns with the brand.
On-Set Direction: Providing real-time creative guidance to photographers, stylists, and talent to capture the brand’s “look and feel.”
Post-Production: Directing the edit, providing meticulous retouching notes, and reviewing color/print proofs to ensure final quality.
Stakeholder Management: Present complex creative strategies to leadership, securing buy-in for bold, innovative visual directions.
Agency Direction & Execution
Agency Collaboration: Serve as the creative point of contact for external partners (Motion, Print, and Production), providing clear, actionable guidance to ensure work aligns with our quality standards.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with internal Photography and Studio teams to ensure design systems are modular and adaptable across diverse retail surfaces.
Technical Oversight: Collaborate with Producers and Production teams to solve execution challenges, ensuring the creative vision is never lost in translation from screen to store.
Brand Stewardship
Visual Evolution: Play a lead role in redefining the in-store “visual center,” ensuring the brand look and feel stays modern and aspirational.
Guideline Development: Create and maintain comprehensive creative toolkits for retail channels to ensure global consistency in storytelling.
Quality Control: Ensure every asset—whether static, motion, or environmental—aligns with the overarching brand strategy and approach to customer experience.
