As an Accounting Manager, you will be a key player in optimizing accounting processes and driving financial excellence. You will lead a team of talented accounting professionals, overseeing month-end close processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and collaborating with business partners to resolve complex accounting issues. Your expertise in data analytics will be instrumental in identifying risks, developing insightful dashboards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on execution and strategic leadership, allowing you to contribute significantly to the company’s financial health and growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and manage various aspects of the accounting and reporting process.
- Lead and execute month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Design and implement process improvements and internal control enhancements.
- Provide accounting guidance and support to finance and business partners.
- Leverage data analytics to identify risks, develop KPIs, and create performance dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data management and business intelligence initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth and development.
- Review general ledger entries, balance sheets, and sub-ledgers.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Support audit requests and ensure proper documentation.
Must-Haves:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
- 5 years of experience leading and managing accounting teams.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with advanced Excel skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- CPA license.
- Experience with SAP.
- Consumer products industry experience.
