Art Director

Overview

Elevate a leading retailer’s visual identity and create a cohesive brand experience for millions of customers. As Art Director, you’ll shape the aesthetic direction of a popular brand, influencing how customers perceive and interact with it. Partnering with Aquent, you’ll join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the customer journey through impactful visuals.

This role offers a unique opportunity to define and implement creative guidelines that will impact a vast audience. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring brand consistency across all ecommerce imagery. Your expertise in photography direction and post-production will be essential in bringing the brand’s vision to life.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive imaging guidelines, encompassing mood, posing, lighting, and composition for consistent visuals across multiple studios.
• Establish and document standards for background modifications and creative boundaries.
• Design and deliver training programs for studio teams on new imaging guidelines, ensuring seamless adoption and execution.
• Revamp Customer Experience (CX) guideline documentation and collaborate with operations to create a scalable maintenance process.
• Develop seasonal styling templates to maintain brand cohesion.
• Partner with the Brand team to create comprehensive e-commerce brand guidelines that align with editorial standards.
• Conduct end-to-end customer journey reviews to ensure content consistency and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate closely with brand, imaging studio, product, and CX teams to uphold high standards and brand alignment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in creative direction, specializing in fashion and e-commerce.
• Proven success in retail photography direction and post-production.
• Extensive experience developing and implementing brand guidelines for large-scale projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful creative direction and guideline development.
• Expert knowledge of studio photography workflows and best practices in the fashion industry.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other standard creative software.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative vision to diverse audiences.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• E-commerce creative direction experience for major retail or fashion brands.
• Background in fashion styling and art direction for diverse product categories.
• Experience developing and implementing global creative standards.
• Experience training and mentoring creative teams across multiple locations.
• Familiarity with e-commerce best practices.
• Strong understanding of data-driven creative optimization for online retail.
• Ability to balance creative excellence with retail objectives and operational efficiency.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $61.22 to $68.03 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
