As a School Finance Partner, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial health of multiple schools, directly impacting the resources available to students and teachers. Your expertise in budget management, grant acquisition, and financial compliance will empower schools to thrive and provide exceptional learning opportunities. As a School Finance Partner, you will be a key advisor and resource for school leadership, providing financial insights that drive strategic decision-making. You’ll collaborate with school administrators and various departments to develop, review, and adjust school budgets, ensuring alignment with educational goals and funding sources. Your analytical skills will be essential in monitoring spending, identifying potential challenges, and recommending solutions to ensure financial sustainability. You will also play a critical role in securing additional funding through grant applications and advocating for school needs with education authorities. What You’ll Do: Partner with school leadership and support departments to develop, review, and adjust school budgets, providing regular updates on spending. Evaluate and monitor spending against budgets, ensuring sustainability, allowability, and program alignment. Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, budget analyses, and student record information using various data systems. Maintain expertise in federal, state, and local laws, accounting rules, and regulations related to school finance. Prepare and submit grant applications and amendments based on school needs and available funding sources. Advocate for schools’ financial needs with departments of education, school boards, and chartering authorizers. Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to teammates, schools, vendors, and state departments of education. Analyze complex financial situations and develop solutions independently and collaboratively. Assist with programmatic and financial audits as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information. Must-Haves: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field. Experience in business, accounting, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to analyze and summarize large amounts of data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment. Self-motivated, highly driven, and passionate about contributing to the success of schools.
