As a Product Designer (Toys & Collectibles) specializing in hardlines, you’ll collaborate with licensees to develop innovative toys and collectibles that will inspire fans of all ages. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team responsible for designing and developing a wide range of products. You will collaborate with licensees, providing creative direction and ensuring that each product meets the highest standards of quality and innovation. Your designs will capture the essence of iconic stories and characters, translating them into tangible products that will delight fans worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative toys, collectibles, plush, playsets, and figures.
- Collaborate with licensees throughout the creative process, from concept to production.
- Provide creative direction and feedback to ensure product excellence.
- Maintain strong relationships with licensees and vendors.
- Conduct product approvals, including creative revisions and detailed feedback.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations.
- Present and sell ideas to management, partners, and licensees.
- Manage project timelines and deadlines.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., industrial design, toy design, fashion design)
- 2+ years of experience designing toys, from concept to production.
- Solid knowledge of hardlines categories (raw materials, plastics, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent product design skills (e.g., 3D product design, technical design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification)
- Proficiency in computer software (e.g., MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Compensation:
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40.51 to $45.02 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
