We are looking for a Footwear Test Engineer for our Global retail client. This will be a one-year onsite engagement starting in the middle of September.  You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of cutting-edge footwear products. Your expertise in mechanical testing and data analysis will directly impact the development of next-generation athletic footwear. Join a team of passionate innovators dedicated to pushing the boundaries of athletic performance. As a Footwear Test Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the product creation process. You will conduct a variety of tests, analyze data, and communicate your findings to cross-functional teams. Your insights will directly influence product design and development, ensuring that athletes can perform at their best.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct standard materials and mechanical tests on footwear products.
  • Analyze test data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing test results and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with product creation teams to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing protocols and equipment.
  • Train and mentor other team members in your area of expertise.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and/or equipment design.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with product and materials testing.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis of data.
  • Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $36 to $40 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
