Join a leading financial services firm as a Data Analyst with Aquent! In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and accuracy of critical client reports and dashboards, directly impacting business decisions and client satisfaction. Your expertise in data analysis and meticulous attention to detail will be essential to maintaining the integrity of key financial data. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your advanced Excel skills and contribute to a high-performing team.
Please note this is a fully remote position for an 8 month contract; planned for 30 hours per week.
As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Ensure the quality of data and formatting in client reports and dashboards by comparing them against source documents, including business requirements, spreadsheets, and prior reports.
- Identify, document, and report any data discrepancies or formatting errors with precision.
- Manage the quality assurance process with vendors, utilizing tools like Jira (a plus).
- Lead and document processes, collaborating with team members to address issues, share updates, and reach consensus on solutions.
- Review and update business requirements documents to reflect evolving needs.
- Maintain detailed logs of activities and completed work for comprehensive tracking.
- Manage the benchmarking mailbox by responding to inquiries from internal partners and clients, researching solutions, and providing timely, professional responses.
- Validate data calculations performed by the data analytics team, identifying and implementing validation processes to ensure accuracy.
- Execute Excel reports and data comparisons to validate findings, performing manual calculations as needed.
- Validate and post the daily participation report internally for benchmarking partners.
- Maintain and update control files in accordance with updated business requirements.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of extensive experience in working with large Excel files, including advanced knowledge of data lookups, tables, and complex, nested formulas.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and identify urgent matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a collaborative team-oriented approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a drive to find solutions.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with Jira for project management.
- Prior experience in the financial services industry.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60.00 to $66.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
