Make a significant impact as a Senior QA Tester with a leading financial services company partnering with Aquent. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of critical applications. As a QA Tester, you will be immersed in a collaborative environment, working closely with developers and business analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for designing and executing test scenarios, identifying and reporting defects, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Your contributions will directly impact the success of critical applications used by countless individuals and businesses.
Please note: Candidates must be within commuting distance from Austin, TX. This is a hybrid position with 3-4 days per week in office, and the remaining days from home.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and execute test scenarios/cases for APIs, UI, Scheduled Jobs, and databases.
- Develop test automation scripts for web-enabled applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance best practices and standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field
- 10+ years of hands-on QA engineering and testing experience.
- 8+ years of experience with Front End Technologies/Concepts: JSP/Java, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, Sync/Async services.
- 8+ years of experience with Back End Technologies/Concepts: Java, J2EE, RESTful API design, Micro-Services, and Event-driven architecture.
- 8+ years of experience developing test automation scripts for web applications.
- 3-5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
- 2-4+ years of experience with JIRA or similar test case management tools.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience supporting Cyber Security tools/applications, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deep understanding of software development processes.
- Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Testing Frameworks.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $62.34 to $69.27 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
