This position is responsible for sourcing, supplier analysis, negotiating and managing contracts that are compliant with
financial services and banking regulations. Additional responsibilities include buying, approval of requisitions for assigned spend categories and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have some legal background or experience with contracts beyond basic processing. Contracts can include master service agreements, licensing, data sharing, cloud services agreements, NDAs or SOWS for example.

 

Major Areas of Responsibility:
1) Lead cross-functional sourcing and contracting assignments, including RFx development and contract analysis
2) Negotiate contracts and gaining approval from cross functional stakeholders. Working with such internal business
units as legal, Information systems, vendor compliance management, and various other business leaders in contracting
review process.
3) Ability to plan schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objective.
4) Review approval and buying for assigned commodity categories.
5) Work in company’s contracts system to archive contracts, approve purchase requisitions and engage with internal and
external stakeholders to troubleshoot issues.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 7 years of procurement sourcing and contracting experience required,  hands-on legal experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills required.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Ariba or other tier 1 ERP or purchasing systems is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, or similar programs is desired.

This is a hybrid role in Torrance, CA. Candidates must be local and able to work in-office 4 days per week. 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $4-55/hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
