Our data governance software client is looking for a remote, w2, Technical Writer to support their team with various projects starting ASAP:

 

  • Remote EST preferred

  • 40 hours per week, to start

  • Hour will be less than 40 after around October

  • Approx 6 months (1040 hours approx.)

 

Technical Writer –

To assist with updating technical documentation per a new government issued cloud requirement.

This role will include creating new documentation, updating already existing documentation, and communicating with internal employees / subject matter experts.

 

  • Must have 6+ years experience in technical writing.

  • Experience with MadCap Flare is highly preferred

  • Experience with complete enterprise software documentation is preferred

 

Projects:

Documentation of 2025.10 UDQ release (note: moving forward anything with a new SKU will need PubSec specific documentation.)

 

  • Document technical steps on how to deploy in a STIG compliant manner in the customer’s CPSH environment (currently encompassing CPSH, Edge, Techlin, DQ (classic), and UDQ (once available.)

  • To include technical steps on the correct enablement of FIPS

  • Capture the current inaccuracies in documentation

  • GovCloud

  • CPSH

  • Update CPSH installation documentation

  • CPSH

  • Note, documentation is key for all of our customers using CPSH due to the nature of how the software is shipped and the customer’s responsibility for the environment. This includes resiliency, backup & restore, etc.

  • Edge for CPSH

  • Work with CPSH + Edge teams to start documentation of 2025.10 release

  • New installation process with Zarf

  • New upgrade process with Zarf

  • New infrastructure requirements with Technical Lineage

  • New installation process for Technical Lineage + Zarf

  • Work with PM team to review current release notes, make updates to any inaccuracies or verbiage updates, and create/maintain release notes moving forward.

  • Update Downloads Section of our website

  • Flag items that are outside of our support window/SLAs

  • Update items that show available, but are deprecated

  • Create and maintain a Release Calendar for PubSec

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $53 to $58 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
