Join a global leader in consumer goods as a Claims Specialist, partnering with Aquent Talent.
In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in optimizing the company’s financial recovery process, directly impacting their bottom line. Your expertise will ensure accurate and timely claims processing, fostering strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal teams. As a Claims Specialist, you will be a key player in revolutionizing the claims process. You will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of freight claims, from inception to resolution. This includes collaborating with internal teams to establish new procedures, ensuring seamless communication with carriers, and working closely with the freight payment team to resolve disputes efficiently. Your analytical skills will be essential in identifying trends and areas for improvement within the claims process, contributing directly to the company’s financial health.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the transportation claims inbox, collaborating with vendors, customers, and internal partners to maximize financial recovery.
- Maintain consistent communication with key client contacts, ensuring accurate data entry and order processing within the designated system.
- Meticulously document and report on pending inquiries related to account issues, proactively addressing and resolving concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with the freight payment team to ensure timely resolution of disputes with transportation carriers.
- Maintain open communication with carriers to ensure complete and accurate information exchange, minimizing delays and discrepancies.
- Spearhead the end-to-end management of freight claims, including developing and implementing new procedures for claim filing.
- Provide support for the returns and refusals inbox, coordinating with carriers, distribution facilities, and customer service to manage cancellations, rescheduling, and re-work of loads.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of equivalent experience.
- Proficient in SAP and Excel.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $20-24/hour (based on level of experience). Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
