As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial and compliance audits for health plans and vendors. Your work will directly contribute to the organization’s ability to provide access to quality healthcare for underserved communities. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and contractual agreements. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your audit expertise with a passion for social impact.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct financial audits and analyses for health plans.
Perform financial analyses of vendor management.
Execute claims audits for health plans and vendors.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Develop and implement standardized workpaper and reporting templates.
Maintain departmental policies and procedures.
Manage data submissions for regulatory agencies.
Conduct solvency reviews for provider groups, partners, and hospitals.
Serve as a liaison for claims audit inquiries.
Collaborate with interdepartmental personnel and external stakeholders.
Support the design, implementation, and reporting of special projects.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to cross-training initiatives.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience conducting financial audits.
5+ years of experience in the managed healthcare industry.
2+ years of accounting experience.
One of the following certifications: CPA, CMA, CIA, CFE.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience with regulatory filings and compliance.
Experience with process improvement initiatives.
