We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level UI/UX Designer to join our growing digital team on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and creative individual who enjoys both design and development, and who’s eager to contribute to impactful public-facing projects — particularly for public libraries, healthcare, and hospitality sectors.
You’ll primarily work on customizing template-based websites using Figma, Drupal, WordPress, and visual page builders like KadenceWP or Elementor.
What You’ll Do

Design and build responsive websites based on existing templates and design systems

Use Figma to develop UI layouts, components, and prototypes

Support development using CMS tools like WordPress or Drupal, working within page builder frameworks

Follow accessibility (ADA) and modular design principles (training provided if needed)

Participate in internal check-ins, client discussions, and cross-functional collaboration

Work closely with branding guidelines; occasionally contribute to logo and identity development

Manage deliverables and timelines with support from senior team members
Core Skills

Experience designing accessible websites (ADA-compliant)

Advanced Figma skills (components, prototyping, systems)

Strong UX knowledge to support UI workflows

Experience with modular or atomic design principles

Able to take abstract ideas and translate into compelling visuals

Familiarity with WordPress/Drupal CMS workflows

Comfortable managing deadlines across multiple projects
Nice-to-Have / Bonus Skills

Proficiency with page builders like KadenceWP, Elementor

Experience presenting designs to internal or client teams

Experience contributing to brand development or visual identity systems
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35 to $45 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
