Our client is looking for a creative, innovative, and organized copywriter to craft compelling, inspiring copy for homepage, email, social, app & additional marketing assets. The copywriter will collaborate with the brand marketing team, CRM team, fashion office, and creative teams to conceive and execute content across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Write copy for website collateral and customer-facing communications, including homepage stories, emails, designer bio mastheads, UX copy, and promotions.
- Nimbly, expertly, and quickly pivot tone of voice depending on the project, whether it’s a fashion POV lookbook or a subject line touting a current promotion.
- Work with the editors, writers, marketing & creative partners to develop and execute narrative direction for editorial features and various marketing initiatives.
- Maintain strong up-to-date knowledge of the competitive fashion, style & online retail landscape.
- Establish and develop the brand voice by creating authoritative and accessible copy.
Experience:
- BA from an accredited university.
- 2-6 years of experience in a copywriting, editing, and/or content-related role, preferably within the online retail sphere.
- Proven experience writing concise, quippy, and engaging copy—specialties in promotional and UX copy are a plus.
- Proven ability to write copy for a variety of platforms and customer touchpoints.
- Knowledge and experience with SEO.
- Proven attention to detail and deadlines.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills, with a demonstrated ability to apply them to internal processes.
- Experience working with a style book such as CMOS, AP, or an in-house book.
- Strong understanding of fashion industry and current trends, as well as familiarity with top brands.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Excel.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35.20 to $39.12 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
