The Senior Business Analyst will help Business Leaders analyze business needs, develop business cases, and elicit, prioritize and assess business requirements for strategic enterprise projects and programs.

This is a full time (approx. 8am – 5pm), remote position on East Coast hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with business leaders to understand business strategies and help translate to action.
  • Responsible for the development of Business Cases, which:
  • Clearly articulate the problem or opportunity that the business cases address
  • Provides supporting analysis of the situation and an assessment of options
  • Identifies the recommendations with clearly defined benefits, costs, financial analysis, and documented assumptions
  • Drives alignment between stakeholders in the development of acceptance criteria and the plan to assess realization of benefits from proposed changes.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify business needs, gather, analyze and document requirements for implementation which drive operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Clearly define actionable requirements for project teams to help them deliver results, while displaying an understanding of iterative delivery.
  • Leverage customer insights and teammate feedback to inform requirement development and prioritization.
    •  Applies impeccable written and oral communication skills, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
    • Works across all levels of the organization, from Executives to project team members to ensure strategic alignment.
    • Senior Business Analyst with experience in diverse technology groups and team sizes.
    • JIRA Proficiency: Managing JIRA boards and large-scale JIRA projects.
    • Project Management Principles: Familiarity with iterative work discovery and execution.
    • Lead Discovery Sessions: Running and executing multiple discovery sessions simultaneously with various project managers.
    • SCRUM/KANBAN Experience: Leading iterative work environments.
    • Dashboard Reporting: Creating and managing dashboards, tying data within JIRA. 

Education:

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience
  • 10+ years Banking experience, with experience in various business units
  • At least 5 years of experience in analysis
  • Prefer experience in consulting

Experience:

  • Banking Subject Matter Expertise (Consumer, Wholesale, Wealth, etc.) and knowledgeable of Banking Regulations
  • Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars
  • Experience with strategy development and implementation, including compliance with key bank policies.
  • Experience developing business cases, including quantitative and qualitative components (NPV analysis, etc.)
  • Experience creating business requirements documentation and user stories
  • Vendor proposal and analysis
  • Experience with Root Cause identification, gap analysis, and SWOT Analysis practices
  • Requirement traceability
  • Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, quick and assertive
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Extremely detailed oriented and organized
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Cool, calm, collected and collaborative, working well under pressure and comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments
  • Can shift between the “big picture” and the small-but-crucial details, knowing when to concentrate on each
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and Visio
  • Experience using project management software

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $62.50 to $69.45 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
