UX Designer

Overview

Job Title: UX Designer

Location: North Houston, TX (Onsite, 5 days/week)

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate UX Designer to lead design efforts for complex initiatives, creating meaningful, human-centered experiences. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience for technical domains such as Fintech, medical, scientific, and oil & gas sectors. You will empower others to cultivate a shared understanding of design strategies, customers, and requirements, driving the creation of exceptional products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process for complex projects, from concept to execution.

• Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, user research, and technical constraints.

• Produce high-quality design deliverables, including wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and visual designs.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure design solutions are aligned with business goals and user needs.

• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.

• Mentor and guide other designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

• Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a UX Designer.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design solutions.

• Proven experience in designing user interfaces for web applications and desktop applications, particularly those addressing complex, technical problems.

• Proficiency in user research and usability testing methodologies.

• Expertise in UX design principles, best practices, and trends.

• Proficiency in prototyping and wireframing tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.

• Experience working within an Agile software development environment.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Strong interaction design skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing for technical domains such as Fintech, medical, scientific, or oil & gas sectors.

• Experience with AI design.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Cognitive Science).

• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and influence design decisions.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $48 to $58 per hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
