This Business Intelligence Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of data democratization. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining impactful dashboards, and conducting insightful ad-hoc analyses that directly influence business decisions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own the end-to-end BI development process, from data sourcing and preparation to dashboard design and deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders, including leadership, to translate their needs into actionable insights, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. This contract role holds strong potential for conversion to a full-time position.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau and occasionally Power BI, translating complex data into easily understood visuals.
- Source, integrate, and manage data from diverse sources, including data warehouses (Snowflake), flat files, spreadsheets, and vendor feeds.
- Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of insights to stakeholders, troubleshooting any data-related issues.
- Optimize dashboard performance for seamless data consumption across various devices (desktops, tablets, and phones).
- Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analyses to address critical business questions, identify key drivers, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Present analytical findings and insights to diverse audiences, including leadership, effectively communicating complex data concepts.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and identify opportunities for data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to data quality, consistency, and accessibility improvements, participating in data pipeline development and data wrangling processes.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Analyst role, with a focus on dashboard development and business analysis.
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience querying relational databases (ideally Snowflake).
- Expertise in Tableau for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Solid understanding of data manipulation and data wrangling techniques.
- Experience working with various data sources (flat files, spreadsheets, data warehouses).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business questions into data-driven insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, enabling clear communication of complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive and eager approach to learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools and ETL processes (e.g., Databricks).
- Experience with web scraping or API integrations for data sourcing.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with Power BI.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $60 per hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
