Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Drive new product development and launches by evaluating and refining electrical designs for manufacturability.
- Develop electrical designs, requirements, and manage electrical system development.
- Assist in prototyping and present project status.
- Support customer care with training and troubleshooting materials.
- Evaluate and incorporate developing technologies.
- Ensure intellectual property protection.
- Validate product designs and track relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Lead the development of electrical requirements and test methods.
- Define manufacturing requirements for new technologies.
- Build prototype systems for mechanical validation.
- Serve as the electrical design liaison with suppliers, reviewing feasibility and quality documentation.
- Provide technical support for issue investigation (consumer, manufacturing) and aid in resolutions.
- Support plants with electrical component handling, testing, and gauging.
- Assist Quality and Supply Chain in developing inspections.
Scope & Impact:
Contribute to successful product launches and customer satisfaction through quality product development and team collaboration. Designs will integrate into diverse materials, and the role influences electrical component spending exceeding $20 million annually through supplier collaboration.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2-4 years of electronic design experience or equivalent.
- Experience with logic control systems, sensors, low power converters, and analog/mixed-signal circuits.
- Proficiency with test and debug equipment.
- Experience designing electronic circuit assemblies for medium volume, low cost, low power, small products.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
Preferred Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 0-2 years of electronic design experience.
- Knowledge of statistical process capability (SPC) concepts.
- Understanding of EMI and ESD.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is 75k to 93k. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
