Make a real impact as a Production Support Engineer partnering with Aquent and a leading financial services firm. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of critical wealth management applications, collaborating with internal and external teams to resolve issues, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement. Be a key player in maintaining the stability and reliability of vital financial systems.
As a Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues impacting production applications, collaborating with development and external teams as needed.
- Providing clear, concise, and timely communication to stakeholders during incident investigations and resolutions.
- Ensuring adherence to change management policies for all production deployments.
- Collaborating with business and development teams to ensure new systems and projects meet production standards.
- Maintaining and updating the knowledge repository, ensuring easy access to support-related information.
- Handling data requests and other activities requiring access to production systems.
- Working to improve self-reliance and reduce dependency on external teams for initial troubleshooting and resolution.
- Automating manual processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an operational/support role with a strong understanding of incident, problem, and change management.
- Background supporting wealth management advisors or similar users.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with both code and infrastructure.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing weaknesses in infrastructure and code through automation and tooling.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud services (AWS), including monitoring, resilience, maintainability, and performance.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
Technical Skills – Required:
- Operating System: Windows Environment
- Databases: SQL Server
- Scripting Languages: Python, Powershell
- Experience with implementing processes for proactive monitoring, alerting, trend analysis and self-healing systems.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot by examining logs, using debuggers, dashboards etc. (Splunk)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- 3+ years of support/developer experience in financial services
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $37.73 to $41.93 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
