Job Title: Accounting and Compliance Coordinator

Location: Houston, TX (On-site, 5 days a week near the Galleria)
Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous Accounting and Compliance Coordinator for a dual-function role dedicated to maintaining the integrity of financial operations and critical regulatory standings. This position manages a diverse portfolio of corporate compliance duties, such as insurance tracking and property tax appraisals, while providing essential oversight for accounts payable processes and employee expenses. The ideal candidate possesses the professional poise necessary to handle sensitive legal documentation and the analytical skills required for complex financial reconciliations.
Essential Compliance and Accounting Duties

Regulatory Oversight: Ensure the continuous maintenance and renewal of state-specific collection licenses and required regulatory filings.

Corporate Administration: Manage critical compliance tasks including Certificate of Insurance (COI) tracking, property tax appraisals, and business renditions.

Licensing Knowledge: Apply expertise regarding legal requirements for state regulatory licensing to ensure company standing.

AP Supervision: Support and supervise offshore accounts payable processes, including the resolution of complex issues and the management of 1099s.

Financial Integrity: Proactively research and reconcile financial discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution.

Expense Management: Oversee the employee expense report process, interacting with various teams to resolve inquiries.

Financial Support: Handle administrative financial tasks such as printing checks, setting up wire/ACH templates, and supporting payroll administration.

Leadership Liaison: Serve as a professional point of contact for senior leadership regarding compliance matters and accounts payable inquiries.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on Accounts Payable experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required (open to all fields of study).

Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is preferred; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications is required.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal and technical documents.

Discretion: Proven ability to maintain the utmost discretion and professional ethics when handling sensitive financial and personnel information.

Professionalism: Exhibits the maturity and poise necessary for direct interaction with company ownership and senior management.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions from abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Requirements and Environment

On-site Presence: This is a full-time, in-office position located near the Galleria in Houston; candidates must be able to work onsite 5 days a week.
