This role will play a key role in developing visually appealing and user-friendly designs for our customer-facing websites and emails. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage client projects, and contribute to the overall success of the project by ensuring that design meets the project requirements and deadlines. Your expertise in user- centered design principles, collaboration, and innovative thinking will be essential to achieving the goals of the team and delivering high-quality results to our clients. This role requires a creative thinker with strong design skills who can bring fresh ideas to the table, collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects from concept to execution, meet tight deadlines, and uphold brand standards for PHH and our clients.
As a part of the Digital Web team under our Customer Service organization, this role will help support updates to our mortgage servicing websites.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop visually appealing and user-friendly site mockups for projects, ensuring timely completion to support the launch team in meeting contract terms during client onboarding.
- Design engaging website graphics, marketing banner ads, and support with email template design changes to align with campaign strategies.
- Assist with creating new icons and illustrations that reflect our new branding and bring these visuals to life on our website(s).
- Assist with website template and widget updates to allow business-users to easily update and change page elements and graphics.
- Ensure all deliverables are visually consistent, on-brand, and meet performance and marketing objectives.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a UI Designer, Graphic Designer or similar role in the design field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in UI design, including web and mobile graphics or interfaces.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and other relevant UI/UX tools.
- Familiarity with Kentico (content management system) and ActOn (email software) for creating templates and components is a very strong plus.
- Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and responsive design.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (development, marketing, product management).
- Maintain organized file management systems, version control, and proper handoff procedure.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on user experience and functionality.
- Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging design technologies.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines without compromising creativity or quality.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to consensus in a collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, UI/UX Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with the mortgage industry (origination and/or servicing) a strong plus.
