About the Role:
- As a key member of the UX design team, you’ll be immersed in a fast-paced, agile environment. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyze user needs, conceptualize innovative solutions, and bring your design vision to life. Your expertise will be essential in crafting user-centered designs that are both intuitive and engaging, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for millions of users. From ideation to implementation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital financial products.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop design strategies based on user interface patterns and behaviors to enhance user comprehension and task performance.
- Utilize visualizations and interactions to simplify complex data sets for analytical thinking.
- Lead design critiques, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate ideation sessions and collaborative design activities.
- Serve as the interaction design subject matter expert for the product design team.
- Create complex low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore and validate design concepts.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes to guide development and ensure accurate implementation.
- Present interaction design work to senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate usability testing and participate in research activities.
- Research interaction design strategies within the financial services sector and conduct competitive audits.
- Perform pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Portfolio showcasing application design samples.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing user interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
- Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Proven ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, including benefits and risks associated with design decisions.
- Expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- MA/MS degree or certification in Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
- Strong understanding of research methodologies and their application during different product phases.
- Familiarity with design thinking principles.
- Experience working within a large organization and an agile environment.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $57.37 to $63.75 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
