As the Senior Insider Threat Analyst, you will be instrumental in building a robust insider threat program from scratch, leveraging cutting-edge tools and strategies to protect critical data and assets. In this exciting role, you will spearhead the implementation of a new insider threat detection tool and develop comprehensive policies and procedures to mitigate insider risks. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct in-depth investigations, and champion best practices in threat detection and response. Your expertise will be essential in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring the long-term security posture of the organization.
What You’ll Do:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive insider threat program aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the configuration and tuning of a new insider threat detection tool, integrating it seamlessly with existing security systems.
  • Monitor user and entity behavior analytics to identify suspicious activities and policy violations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into insider threat incidents, collaborating with cybersecurity, HR, and legal teams.
  • Develop and execute response playbooks for various insider threat scenarios.
  • Train and mentor junior analysts and cross-functional stakeholders on insider threat detection techniques.

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on insider threat analysis and program development.
  • Strong understanding of UEBA tools and technology, digital forensics, and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.
  • Proven expertise in deploying and managing insider threat tools.
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, and workflows for insider threat management.
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms, data analytics tools, and insider threat indicators and detection methods.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or insider threat-specific credentials.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., BigQuery, Python, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements surrounding insider threat and data protection.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55.98 to $62.20 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
