Our client, the nation’s largest member shopping experience, is looking for a highly skilled and collaborative Senior UX Designer to drive their user experience strategy from discovery and research to interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and usability testing. You’ll bridge business expectations with user needs, influence product direction, and foster strong partnerships across the organization.

User Experience Strategy & Research

• Assess and bridge gaps between business goals and user experience.
• Leverage user consumption trends to develop and improve UX and interaction design strategies.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks in information synthesis, proposing solutions for interactive designs.
• Analyze and interpret data (web analytics, surveys, support calls) to inform design.
• Independently propose research hypotheses and guide research processes (data type, quality, quantity).
• Verify data reliability, address gaps, and resolve inconsistencies.
• Translate research insights into actionable recommendations for design and business strategies.

Design & Prototyping

• Define and document design details through process flows, site maps, wireframes, and functional specifications.
• Adhere to and use interaction patterns and templates for consistent, scalable design solutions, accounting for complex use cases and error conditions.
• Define and document visual design details (position, padding, font size) and perform visual QA.
• Design and develop prototypes and technical proofs of concept (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, Python, Ruby/RoR).
• Build interactive models that access live content and reusable components.

Partnership & Influence

• Build, maintain, and enhance effective internal and external partnerships.
• Clearly draft valuable information and seek input.
• Influence technical outcomes and communicate shared goals by linking interests to business objectives.
• Identify partner technical needs and educate on value creation.
• Collaborate to solve shared business problems.
• Consult regularly with business unit leaders on strategy decisions.
• Proactively bring ideas and technical solutions to partners and stakeholders.
• Communicate articulately in stakeholder meetings, conveying complex information.
• Build productive collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
• Influence teams to take meaningful action with sound recommendations.
• Prepare clear, concise, and logical reports based on facts.
• Seek and provide constructive feedback.

Customer Focus & Usability

• Build and maintain customer relations to understand requirements.
• Create customer journey touchpoints to anticipate product enhancements and preempt risks.
• Simplify and improve processes to reduce turnaround times and drive customer delight.
• Understand basics of testing against design specifications.
• Identify major activities and documents for user acceptance testing.
• Cite examples and types of acceptance tests, compile procedures for test developers/end-users.
• Explain features and objectives of alpha and beta tests.

Skills & Expertise

• User-Centered Design Principles: Deep understanding of methodologies for intuitive, user-friendly designs.
• Proficiency in Design Tools: Expertise in Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision for wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.
• Interaction Design & Information Architecture: Strong skills in defining design details through flows, sitemaps, and specifications.
• Usability Testing & User Research: Experience with methods to gather insights and inform design.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail: Strong ability to anticipate risks and develop solutions.
• Front-End Technologies (Plus): Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript to build interactive models.
