Our awesome retail client is seeking a Producer to join their team The Producer is responsible for running the production process and working alongside our creative and project management team to deliver best in class photo creative. Our ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team, but comfortable working for long periods of time independently and taking initiative when needed.
Bid, prep, and supervise production of content, including all image capture ( photography, illustration, graphics,). Content Producer has achieved a level of production expertise which enables them to manage the most difficult challenges.
Accountabilities
Ownership & Production Management:
Own all aspects of content production from end to end for static image assets including but not limited to:
coordinating and scheduling all (pre-production, production shoots, and post productions.),
Supervise production of content and activations
Manage edits and instruct editor on all projects’ needs and ensure the highest visual output.
Communicate clearly all the to-dos and deadlines throughout the life of the project.
Work to stay within the agreed upon budget.
Facilitate production-related POs and invoices including reviews and approvals
Demonstrate budget management, fiscal responsibility, and integrity.
Work with our internal teams including Art Directors, Copywriters, and Program/Project managers to execute content production projects including:
Support and execute creative concepts
Advise and seek approvals from writers, art director for all content production-related matters with creative solutions for improving quality.
Be a resource to the in-house creative team
Provide timely notification to team for changes to budget.
Partner with Business Leads, Program Leads and Creative teams to mediate and get approvals on all aspects of creative production
Work with external teams including production companies, talent agencies, creative agencies
Have solid knowledge and experience with a variety of commercial production vendors and directors including understanding of union talent
Manage external vendor and production company sourcing
Bid, review and negotiate production estimates
Review external 3rd party production credentials and advise on qualifications and suitability
Manage talent negotiations and contract execution.
client and partner relationships from inception to launch by conducting regular calls, monitoring, and escalating project risks, soliciting client/partner feedback, making modifications to deliverables
Required Skills & Qualification
Minimum of 2 years of experience producing photography content.
Located in Calgary Alberta for local shoots. Remotely working in Calgary when not on shoots.
Willingness to travel
Valid Driver’s License
Be an expert on production technology. Cameras, lighting, sound, design.
Be a Problem Solver – Use your years of production experience to proactively think ahead and anticipate and plan for potential problems including communicating these issues with appropriate parties.
Be a Diplomat- deal with conflicting personalities and agendas and be able to pull together divergent viewpoints.
Be an Administrator – able to evaluate all the hidden involvements and work necessary in relation to cost, timing and legal involvements. Excellent and organized production budget/time management skills. Ability to find cost efficient ways to get projects done.
Be a Businessperson – able to negotiate contracts and understand all the complicated business items connected with production.
Be a People person – great with internal teams and external clients. Excellent communication, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and positive attitude
Experience executing and renewing talent usage contracts.
Experience getting estimates from vendors and negotiating costs.
Attention to detail is a must.
