Our client is looking for a Senior Sensory Perception Researcher to join the Sport Research Lab, a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to enhancing athlete performance through scientific innovation. This role focuses on conducting research and developing insights to foster the creation of innovative products, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of athletes in terms of feel, fit, and comfort across footwear and apparel lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Principal Researcher to understand and implement the research vision and strategy.
  • Independently execute experimental research plans and conduct hands-on laboratory work to collect and analyze data.
  • Develop new tools and methodologies to improve data collection and generate insightful findings.
  • Present complex research data clearly and concisely to both the research team and broader stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular meetings with research colleagues to discuss ongoing experiments and strategize future research directions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Sensory Sciences, Food Sciences, Cosmetic Sciences, or a related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in the same fields plus a minimum of two years of research experience.
  • Profound knowledge of sensory perception, experimental design, and basic statistical analysis.
  • Proven experience in conducting sensory perception research with human subjects.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and persist in the face of obstacles.
  • Experience in consumer product development is desirable but not mandatory.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate: $29.40 – $32.67, dependent on education, experience, certifications, and location.
