The Messages team is dedicated to delivering seamless, platform-agnostic RCS and messaging experiences. The Partner Engineering (PE) division is undertaking several mission-critical projects, including the completion of AT&T and T-Mobile migration, cross-platform RCS implementation, satellite messaging, RBM, etc. These projects demand extensive manual end-to-end testing and validation, requiring additional staffing to support the workload in 2024.

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will join the Partner Engineering team for the Messages application, collaborating with OEMs and carriers to streamline preloading processes for new device launches. This role involves coordinating with the test team to execute validation test cases on reference devices, updating documentation to track progress for internal and external stakeholders, and monitoring performance metrics to generate periodic reports.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Align with Engineering and Partner Engineering teams on project goals, outcomes, and implementation details.
2. Lead messaging testing efforts for various carriers and OEMs, drafting comprehensive test plans for messaging launches and features.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, tracking and triaging issues using bug tracking systems.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong communication and program management skills, including the ability to effectively communicate program goals and progress to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, execution and governance, managing organizational change, planning, stakeholder management, and technical judgment.
  • 3-5 years of technical project management experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Mobile carrier certification experience, RCS, sms/mms

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in the telecommunications industry

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $115 to $120 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
