Instructional designer

Summary of work to be performed:
• Support new Microsoft Learn tenants onboarding, primarily for training content, throughout the publishing lifecycle as required including, onboarding to GitHub, content design, publishing workflows etc.
• Perform instructional design and/or developmental editorial review to ensure the content written by the tenant teams meets the required quality criteria.
• Provide editorial support for any other tasks identified to support tenancy business requirements.
• Be point of contact for tenant teams’ questions related to publishing content on Microsoft Learn.

• 3-5 years’ work-related experience required.
• Experience in instructional design and developmental editing, including needs,
learner context, and tasks analyses.
• Experience working with clients, subject matter experts, and development team
members to shape content that fits customer needs.
• MS Office experience required. Must have strong communication skills, initiative,
and the ability to work well with SMEs from a variety of backgrounds.
• Strong customer service orientation required.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and developmental editing
principles required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and Master’s or other formal education in
Instructional Design preferred but not required.

• Experience working with variety of content authoring systems, such as GitHub, Markdown, XML, HTML, DITA, and MadCap Flare.
• Experience migrating content across a variety of content managements systems.
