Technical Program Manager – Hardware Validation

Location: Hybrid (Tues-Thurs in office, Mon & Fri remote)

Work Schedule: PST business hours, Monday – Friday

Position Overview: Join the Wearables team as an Engineering Program Manager Contractor. This role involves driving hardware module engineering development in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and suppliers to ensure high-quality products are built, tested, and released on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical program of hardware module design and development.
  • Coordinate tasks across multi-discipline engineering and operations teams.
  • Interface with vendors and teams for build management, scheduling, budgeting, and performance.
  • Conduct regular supplier meetings, including evening calls with Asian suppliers.
  • Communicate project status effectively to stakeholders and leadership.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Autonomously coordinate hardware validation efforts and track progress.
  • Plan and execute tactical solutions to development changes with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain and communicate daily schedule for product design deliverables.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in Consumer Electronics in engineering or program management.
  • Proficiency in product development frameworks (EVT1, EVT2, DVT, PVT).
  • Strong communication skills for reporting to individuals and leadership levels.
  • Experience with tools like Smartsheet.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
