The Digital UX Writer is assigned to a team that creates and maintains content on the company’s web and mobile properties in alignment with corporate and digital style guides and in compliance with National Association of Insurance Commissioners regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Create content aligned to the content strategy, our brand voice and tone, business requirements and digital standards
- Present complex topics in consumer-friendly, plain language
- Direct the message tone, voice and creative interpretation of content so it is on brand and aligned with our objectives
- Ensure content is edited and approved by legal/compliance
- Work closely with other project team members, including copywriters, content strategists, visual designers, interaction designers and business analysts
- Assist with creation and maintenance of digital content guidelines, standards, tools and processes
- Process:
- Experience with digital content creation and understanding best practices
- Familiarity with software development processes (e.g., waterfall, agile)
- Knack for juggling several projects, managing time efficiently and prioritizing appropriately
- Collaboration:
- Experience working with subject matter experts, content reviewers, editors, legal and compliance, and user experience teams
- Passion for sharing information and helping others be successful

Experience:
- At least 3 years of digital copywriting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication or similar field
- Experience writing and optimizing content for a variety of content types and digital channels
- Firm grasp of user experience and the role of content within design in a digital environment
- Ability to be flexible in a very fluid and dynamic environment – including dealing with changing processes and priorities
- Must be extremely well-organized and detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously, and able to easily move between strategic and tactical work
- Experience working in an embedded agile product team, especially with ecommerce sites
- Familiar with content management systems
- Familiar with online tracking tools, such as Jira
- Self-starter who takes initiative and ownership
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Conversant and comfortable with principles of digital design, writing and editing
- Proficient with: Microsoft Office, SharePoint

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $32.72 to $36.36 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
