Production Specialist Engineer

Hours: 30 hours per week on average (potentially 40 hours /week eventually)

Location: Remote, based in Cupertino, New York, or Culver City

Tenure: 12-months with possible extension

 

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Specialist/Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in translating designs into technical products, including templates and themes. Your meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise will be essential to maintain our high-quality standards. This is a remote position, and you will work closely with designers, engineers, and QA to ensure successful product

Description:

You will be responsible for transforming designs into technical products, specifically templates and themes across iWork apps. This role requires precise production skills, including layout, typography, and color management, with a sharp eye for inconsistencies. Your work will impact how end-users experience templates on macOS and iOS, as well as any new app features. Meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality is essential.

Detailed Description:

  • Creating new Keynote and Pages themes / templates
  • Audit various template features, functions, imagery, and placeholder text
  • Test new templates and sample documents
  • Conduct internal QA, cross-checking new content to ensure it aligns with build requirements
  • Work closely with Engineering and Design during new feature implementation
  • Manage GitHub repositories, track file changes, and resolve conflicts
  • Write, investigate, and fix bugs in Radar, working closely with Design
  • Collaboratively fix Localization (LOC) bugs in new template designs
  • Use GitHub and other engineering systems to resolve issues and errors

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software or app development
  • Systematic thinker
  • Proficiency in Keynote, Pages, and Numbers
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Terminal, and Radar
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, QA, and Engineering

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $64 to $71 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
