Our valued client in the Education industry is seeking an Executive Assistant to the President for a long term temporary opportunity. 

This is a potential temp to hire opportunity!

We are specifically seeking someone with 7 – 10 Years of experience providing support to high level executive positions, specifically CEOs.

*The ideal candidate has worked in higher education or some type of community engagement role.*
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business admin, communications, or similar field of study (preferred)

Responsibilities include:

Executive Support
● Provide executive assistance to support The President including extensive internal and external calendaring, business travel, large-scale meetings, expenses, and special projects
● Manage The President’s calendar, ensuring their time is allocated to the highest priorities, and coordinate with staff to ensure the schedule is followed and respected
● Adjudicates priorities as it relates to The President’s time amid organizational needs and deadline pressures.
● Proactively follows up on contacts made by the The President
● Keep the The President advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up
● Ensure The President’s meeting resources are anticipated and provided for. Confirm meeting agenda and meeting owner to ensure success
● Leverage The President’s time and impact by managing relationships external to the Education Center, particularly related to non-profit organizations, boards and community engagement
● Provide administrative support to manage The President’s diverse business interests. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating, and communicating with internal and
external business partners, preparing, and filing documents, updating contact lists, and providing business development support
● Provide a bridge for communication between the President’s Office and other internal departments, trustees, partners, philanthropists, community leaders, and other key stakeholders
● Address incoming issues and communications on behalf of the The President, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature; determine appropriate course of action,
referral, or response
● Work closely and effectively with the The President to keep them well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up on action items accordingly Board Support and Board Liaison
● Provide administrative support for the Organization’s Board of Directors, including scheduling Board and committee meetings, drafting minutes, and organizing and arranging meetings and events
● Partner closely with the Board Liaison and Board Secretary, to provide administrative and logistical support to help manage the Board of Directors Project Management and Meeting Support
● Prepare and review various project plans and provide project management and/or project coordination support on various initiatives, as needed
● Ensure assigned projects are delivered on time and within scope
● Perform research associated with projects and ensure resource availability and allocation
● Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
● Develop materials and utilize tools to manage projects, as required

Other Support
● Assist The President with Leadership Team Meeting support
● Partner with the Talent & Culture Team and the President to plan and coordinate virtual and in-person team events, staff retreats, and other staff morale events
● Prioritize and manage competing needs and handle matters efficiently and proactively
● Complete and submit expense reports and arrange travel
● Other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements
● 7 – 10 Years of experience providing support to high level executive positions, specifically CEOs
● Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business admin, communications, or similar field of study (preferred)
● Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Effective communication skills with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
● Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals
● Commitment to the Organization’s mission and vision, including our commitment to racial and economic equity
● Proficiency with Google Workspace and Zoom
● Consistent professional integrity with the ability to work with highly confidential information
● Project management skills; meeting and event planning experience. Demonstrated ability to detect problems early and implement solutions proactively
● Emotional maturity and a track record of developing strong credibility and trust at all levels within the organization
● Resourceful with ability to be effective working independently or as part of a project team
● Strong research skills and ability to synthesize information into meaningful insight
● Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and discernment and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
● Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines while managing changing or competing demands
● Thrives in a fast-paced, growing organization

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $34.00 – $37.00/hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match (if applicable).
