Our large Fortune 500 client seeks UX Designers to join their team. These Consultant roles are hybrid, working on-site at their Houston office 2-3 days per week.

The UX Design team drives software designs used to make billion-dollar business decisions across the enterprise. You would work in a company that values user experience. What You Will Do:

  • Lead designs for features that help engineers and operators make multi-million dollar decisions about production surveillance and optimization.
  • Run workshops with a cross-discipline team to gather ideas and feedback early that satisfy both a feasible and scientifically sound solution.
  • Research and document customer workflows, create journey maps and design innovative solutions using lean methods. Iterate on the designs with the team and validate them with the in-house research team.
  • Gather evidence of business value for designs and document it for UX stakeholders. Work with the UX Lead to identify user research gaps and formulate a strategy with stakeholders and the research team.
  • Engage with users (globally) to build a strategy for how to design for gaps in knowledge and understanding of technology as well as how to present uncertainty in optimization solutions.
  • Collaborate with other designers to critique designs, build on standards, and contribute to the upstream technical design language.

Their campus, on the north side of Houston, is nestled among 385 wooded acres and designed for collaboration, wellness, and sustainability. The office is LEED Gold certified with ample natural light and many amenities.

 

What You’ll Bring:

Portfolio of work that includes case studies and/or samples of your work with key details on your role, your process, and any results

  •  3+ years of experience focused on user experience design within a large corporate environment, or an agency focused on a large corporate account
  •  2+ years’ experience in Oil and Gas or other science/engineering domains preferred.
  • Experience working with modern desktop platforms to facilitate communication with software developers
