Web Developer

Overview

This is a remote opportunity but candidates must be in PST.
Pay Range: $44/hr – $49/hr

This Game Publishing Team is looking for a talented web developer to build scalable, engaging, community-focused, user-friendly, and accessible websites. You’ll work closely with internal colleagues and external partner studios to create websites for our growing portfolio of published games.

Responsibilities:

• Develop & maintain custom community-focused WordPress-based websites
• Translate desktop, tablet, and mobile designs into responsive & accessible templates
• Own, troubleshoot & solve compliance, security, and maintenance issues

Candidate Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Web Developer space
• Deep understanding of WordPress template inheritance, core functions, filters & actions
• Must have the ability to write a WordPress theme from scratch
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Solid PHP back-end development skills
• Experience with build and automation tools such as Webpack, NPM & Yarn
• Understanding of the server-side CSS preprocessor SASS
• Prior usage of Bootstrap CSS Framework
• Experience with git or similar version control
• Experience with cross-browser & device testing
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent work experience

Preferred:

• Experience with Sage & Blade templates
• Familiarity with automated testing
• Familiarity with agile development processes
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization
• Experience with complex hosting environments

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $44/hr – $49/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
