Our retail creative team at Aquent Studios is hiring a Digital Advertising Copywriter to compose and deliver copy/messaging taglines for large scale digital campaigns.

This is a fully remote team, we are seeking folks that reside in PACIFIC TIME ZONE. 

Compensation: starts @ $45/hr (W-2)

The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.

Workload: 30-40 hrs per week through end of the year.



  • Compose copy – you’ll cover a range of topics & assets, including paid social channels, digital ads, etc.

  • Gain a deep understanding of the client’s brand’s core principles, their creative copy voice, tone, & style guides, applying that understanding to the crafting copy to support business goals.

  • Independently manage multiple copy projects on different timelines with varying levels of complexity & importance to the business.

  • Own copy execution for large scale, high-priority campaigns. Determine messaging priorities & partner with the Aquent Project Manager and Creative Lead to compose high volumes of creative assets, and deliver final assets on deadline.

  • Make edits following feedback from the client & the Copy Lead.

  • Approach copy feedback from the client with a positive, collaborative attitude & willingness to learn & grow. 

  • Attend & engage in project kick-off & follow-up meetings by asking proactive questions, seeking clarity, & anticipating required information to compose effective copy. 

  • Take character limitations & design constraints into account when creating copy, 

  • Stay up to date on competitors, industry & media trends, & technology developments as it pertains to retail & marketing. 

  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude. Seek answers to ambiguous asks, find comfort working autonomously, & quickly pivot direction based on changing business needs.



  • BA in Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, or related field (or 4+ years’ equivalent working experience)

  • 4+ years of Copywriting experience, preferably in a retail / e-tail environment 

  • Ability to work autonomously & self-manage, as well as collaborate closely 

  • Critical thinker, able to change mindset quickly and be flexible in responding to challenges

  • Knowledge of marketing principles.

  • Resourceful and efficient approach to research and fact-finding.

  • Understands the connection between copy and design

  • Communicates easily and effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Professional demeanor and excellent ability to work with people at different levels

  • Excellent communicator and reliable

  • Excellent command of the English language including use of metaphors, spelling, grammar, syntax, etc
