As a Product Designer, you will contribute to product designs and collaborate with a cross-functional team that defines product vision & strategy. You must be proactive, creative, flexible, resilient, and able to handle high levels of ambiguity.
Responsibilities:
Design thoughtful, beautiful, and useful user interfaces and experiences in a team environment.
Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, user research & feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
Use product strategy & research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements.
Design the information architecture, interaction flows, and designs for seller applications and experiences.
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes.
Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
Work with product managers to plan projects for effective delivery while maintaining high standards for design.
Be a passionate and effective advocate for design with non-design audiences.
Write effectively to communicate design rationales and benefits to Amazon customers.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-centered Interaction, Design, Statistics, Psychology, or related field at time of application.
5+ years of experience working in a collaborative product team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions.
A portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., designs, research, personas, user flows, site maps, prototypes, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with consumer brand experience design and a understanding of storytelling.
Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides.
Additional design skills in related fields, including learning & instructional design, prototyping, illustration, etc.
Experience with information architecture, design, wireframing, and prototyping tools.
Experience in designing cross-product & cross-platform experiences.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to extract complex concepts and quickly turn around rigorous flows and mock-ups reflecting a range of options.
Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
Ability to proficiently present design solutions to stakeholders in design, product management, and engineering.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $65 to $75 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
