This position is for a large pharmaceutical company. You must be able to travel to the Bridgewater, NJ location as needed.

As Consumer Experience (CX) Prototype Lead, you’ll have a significant impact on the consumer experience by assuming an important role in the CX design process. You’ll advocate for Design Technology, working closely with Design, Engineering Strategy, and Business partners to ensure our products consistently exceed an ever-higher bar of quality and innovation. We’re looking for a good human, that’s self-directed and passionate about creating immersive and inspiring experiences (with the chops to make it happen).

You will work with a team of program managers, software development engineers and UX designers in an agile scrum model and iterative design process to rapidly develop prototypes and design options.

You will directly impact the quality of multiple products and help lead our teams in design thinking and ideation. You will turn insights and recommendations into the lean design process.

You will engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders regularly to ensure end to end relevance of design and solution proposals. You will interface with engineers and solution architects from around the world to offer global solutions to truly global problems.

Your role is hands-on, with a focus on conceptualizing, ideating, prototyping, designing and building tech-based creative solutions in close collaboration with creatives, technologists, strategists and researchers. You will be working on projects at a local, regional and global scale.

Critical to the success of the role this individual’s ability to work as a project leader, engaging with external partners including technology platforms, internal stakeholders, and subject-matter experts to create solutions. This individual must bring to the role a strategic and program execution lens to help develop service MVPs, proofs of concept, and/or pilot programs for new technologies and platforms, and to drive their implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and advocate for Design Technology, demonstrating value by consistently delivering work that inspires.
  • Be a technical leader and advocate for our internal design system.
  • Take an active role in building the Design Technology team at the company and establishing UX/Design prototyping and CX technology strategy as a core capability.
  • Serve as a link between design and development, ensuring that design vision is maintained through thoughtfully written, production-minded code.
  • Support the CX and Design’s mission to reimagine the Company’s future through delivery of world-class user experiences.
  • Collaborate with designers, strategists, and product leads to translate ideas and concepts into sophisticated and interactive prototypes (written in the product stack).
  • Develop custom tools and automations to help expedite design and business objectives.
  • Take a key role in developing and advancing our global design language and design system strategy.
  • Work on a variety of projects, across a range of stacks on multiplatform and devices.
  • Actively participate in concept development, strategy, and design iteration, writing code to explore and test new features and products.
  • Be a constant advocate for design thinking, design strategy, and the users.

Key Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working as front-end developer, design technologist or similar role.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating high quality code and design, including a variety of projects from web to native.
  • Experience managing and working on design technology projects focused on design systems and/or design advocacy.
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience distilling technical concepts into easy to understand and digestible concepts to sales and marketing teams.
  • Experience working as a member of an agile team and wearing multiple hats to aid the team to complete projects at hand.
  • Experience building for the modern web using Javascript (ES6), Javascript frameworks, tools and workflows.
  • Experience prototyping native apps, using either React Native or iOS (Objective-C or Swift).
  • Expertise crafting interactions, transitions, and animations, using a variety of tools and libraries.
  • Experience building Figma plugins and the Figma API a huge plus.
  • Experience with 3d huge plus, using tools like Three.js, WebGL, Unity, etc.
  • Experience with Design Tools like Figma, Creative Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of Git/Github and common Git workflows.
  • Experience with package managers, task managers and build tools.
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Experience working on product teams, in a fast-paced environment.
