This qualitative UX Research role is specifically focused on building better experiences for Admins inside the Admin Console platform, and ensuring admins from all levels of experience can easily and confidently setup and manage their organization’s workspace environment. This can include tasks like onboarding / offboarding new users, responding to alerts, and giving them the confidence to manage all sorts of policies (e.g., password requirements, sharing policies, service on/off, etc.).

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Planning and prioritizing research across projects in alignment with larger project goals, and communicating priorities to team members
  • Conducting research to identify user needs and business opportunities that further product and business goals
  • Guiding product direction by analyzing, consolidating, or synthesizing what is known about user, product, service, or business needs
  • Helping identify, create, and effectively use metrics to evaluate success

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Attending xfn team meetings to understand area research needs
  • Conducting interviews & usability testing (protocol development, data collection, report creation, and results delivery)
  • Overseeing UXR for 3 researchers (weekly 1:1s with each researcher, offering mentorship support, tracking their research intake requests, tracking their work, keeping track of their deliverables)

Skill/Experience/Education:

Mandatory:

  • 7-10 years of experience as a senior UX Researcher, a team lead, and/or a manager.
  • Strong working knowledge of a range of methodologies, their strengths/weaknesses, and when to apply them in the product life cycle, from concept to launch.
  • Prior work experience with B2B and/or IT AdminsInteractive technology.
  • Knowledge of how people use and interact with technology in order to influence the design, evaluation, and iterative improvement of interactive hardware and software systems.
  • Product development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of the overall process for developing products.
    • This includes knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of engineering and other functions, major phases, checkpoints, and deliverables.
    • This also includes the ability to identify common issues and considerations for delivering a product.
  • Research processes
  • Knowledge of the full research lifecycle from planning, to execution, to communicating insights, to impacting product and business direction or strategy.
  • UX research methodology
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for defining and measuring UX, and the ability to adapt UX research methods to the appropriate user interface and platform.
  • Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable for this role.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $68.00 – $75.56 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
