Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Google Site Designer to join client's team at a large streaming company. As a Google Site Designer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining internal websites using Google Sites. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to create visually appealing, user-friendly, and informative websites that facilitate seamless communication and efficient workflows within our client's organization. Responsibilities:
Design and develop internal websites using Google Sites to support various departments and teams within the organization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs, and translate them into visually appealing and functional website designs.
Create and implement intuitive navigation structures, user interfaces, and interactive elements to enhance user experience and engagement.
Customize and optimize Google Sites templates, themes, and layouts to align with the company's branding guidelines and design standards.
Ensure the websites are responsive, accessible, and compatible across different browsers and devices.
Create and update website content, including text, images, videos, and documents, using Google Sites' content management system.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, developers, and IT support, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of internal websites.
Conduct quality assurance tests to identify and resolve any issues or bugs related to website design, functionality, or performance.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in website design, user experience, and Google Sites features, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Provide training and support to end-users on website creation, editing, and maintenance using Google Sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in web design, graphic design, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in designing and developing websites using Google Sites or other website builders.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to customize and optimize Google Sites' templates and themes.
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and best practices.
Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization techniques.
Excellent visual design skills, including layout, color theory, and typography.
Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on internal websites or intranets.
Familiarity with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and its integrations with Google Sites.
Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems.
Experience with analytics and data-driven decision-making in website design.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $55 - $63 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
