Overview
Our client at a Chicago based PR firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager with exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in SmartSheets to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. In addition to your project management responsibilities, you will also be required to take on executive assistant duties, providing administrative support to our clients senior executives.
The chosen candidate for this role will be working on a hybrid schedule in their Downtown Chicago or Oak Park office.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $35 to $38 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver projects, ensuring that project objectives, scope, and timelines are met.
- Utilize SmartSheets to create and maintain project schedules, track progress, and monitor project milestones.
- Coordinate project resources, assign tasks, and communicate project updates to stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist senior executives with administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing reports and presentations.
- Act as a liaison between the project team and senior executives, ensuring timely and accurate communication of project status, risks, and issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements, define project scope, and establish project goals and deliverables.
Requirements:
- 1 -3 years of experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Strong proficiency in SmartSheets or similar project management software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Previous experience in an executive assistant role is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
